Silica
Silica, the primary raw material used to produce glass, plays a fundamental role in glass manufacturing. Derived mainly from high-purity silica sand, it forms the structural backbone of glass by creating the strong silicon dioxide network that gives glass its clarity, durability, and resistance to heat and chemicals. In the glassmaking process, silica is melted together with other materials such as soda ash and limestone to produce molten glass, which is then formed into various products.

At NSG Glass, we maintain control over our quality and costs by securing our own silica resources. Besides supplying silica to other clients, having control over our own source of silica ensures greater stability in our production schedules and costs maintenance, ensuring that buyers of our glass products are satisfied.
